Vital Findings (VF) is a boutique insights consultancy based in Culver City. We conduct custom and creative research using both qualitative and quantitative methods. We are currently seeking a highly organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated team member to join our team as an Operations Manager. This position will report into the Operations Director and will be responsible for supporting both company and project operations and initiatives. At the company level, the role will support bidding, company financials, vendor management, profitability measurement as well as help drive key company initiatives related to resourcing, systems management and process improvement. The role will also provide support on projects where logistics, attention to detail, and organization are critical.


Support Key Company Operational Initiatives:
• Helps lead and advise on key operational company initiatives related to:
• Workflow, resourcing, and prioritization for projects and team members
• Tracking and improving job profitability
• Assessing project workflow identifying opportunities for efficiencies

Project Operations
• The Operations Manager will support projects from an operational perspective with components such as global coverage, qual project management/recruitment, and multi methodology
• Serves as resource to identify and resolve process pain points
• Escalates issues to vendors when timelines or quality are not being met
• Escalates to senior lead when scope or timelines need to be adjusted
• Helps pull project financials and participate in project debriefs

New Business/Bid Support
• Works with senior team members to design and bid out research proposals by sourcing vendors, creating timelines, and assessing feasibility for new projects
• Responsible for initial drafts of research bids/estimates
• Once new projects are won, Operations Manager is responsible for transitioning project estimates/bids and vendor conversations over to project teams

Vendor Relationship Management
• Works with Operations Director to maintain and foster vendor relationships.
• Investigates new and innovative vendors with which to engage
• Troubleshoots issues with timelines, quality, and process. Work to create mutually beneficial working relationships.

Company Process Champion
• Fills out Job Confirmation Forms and final bids when projects are won
• Provides support for Project Management Software – Asana
• Tracks and pushes timesheet compliance
• Organizes and maintains company resource database including proposals, methodologies, reporting and project case studies
• Create and facilitate training decks pertaining to company and project operations

Skills & Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in market research design and project management
• Experience supporting both qualitative and quantitative custom market research projects
• Excel, Word, Powerpoint experience required. Asana experience preferred (or other similar Project Management software)
• Willingness and ability to jump in and personally complete any step of the research process at any time, if needed
• Critical thinker, naturally curious, internally driven to succeed
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and process focused
