We are looking for an Operations Manager specializing in qualitative research to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting the operations, study design, logistics and quality assurance of our projects. You will also help support company-wide process improvement initiatives and, at the company level, you will support bidding, company financial tracking, vendor management and issue resolution, and profitability measurement. Critical thinking and problem solving, attention to detail and organization are key.


Support the design and proposal of new projects by:
• Researching and selecting vendors
• Collecting, evaluating, and negotiating sample bids from partners
• Creating timelines, assessing feasibility, and helping to brainstorm study design and quotas
• Creating project bids and submitting to the senior lead for review
• Liaising between the project team and the vendor - ensuring both parties understand the final scope
• Maintaining solid vendor relationships with key partners

Support qualitative projects by:
• Setting up projects in Asana
• Seeking out external resources when needed to complete tasks
• Writing screeners & rescreen scripts, in consultation with project teams
• Carefully review & rescreen participants deciding whether they qualify based on the outlined criteria
• Manage vendors
• Lead vendor kick-off calls
• Develop fielding schedules, in consultation with moderators & project teams
• Review vendor bids and approve vendor invoices
• When not going through vendor:
• Schedule participants
• Write & send participant confirmation & prep emails/calls
• Process incentives
• Develop quota trackers, compliance trackers, client-facing grids, & participant profiles
• Manage compliance/participation on digital qual studies
• Coordinate and conduct tech checks & platform onboarding for virtual qual (participant & client-facing)
• Flag recruitment & compliance issues early to project team with proactive suggestions for next steps
• Develop client prep materials (platform instructions, tips for methodologies & researching specific subgroups/cultures, schedules & itineraries including lodging & dining, etc.)
• Plan logistics for in-person qual (materials, food, technology)
• Manage media equipment - tracking inventory and use
• Monitor the project budget and reconcile costs at the job close
• Debrief project successes and pain points

Support company-wide initiatives focused on improved efficiency


• 5+ years’ experience at a market research firm or qualitative recruitment agency with a focus on project management and operations ideal
• Strong qualitative background, global and domestics
• Experience in custom research preferred
• Critical thinker, naturally curious, internally driven to succeed
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and process focused
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
