Vital Findings' Study Reveals the Beauty of the Latina Consumer Mindset

28 April 2016 |  PrintEmail

We all know how the saying goes: “it doesn’t matter what you look like on the outside. It’s what’s on the inside that counts.” This may be true for some but, according to our recent beauty study in partnership with Vital Findings, for Latinas, what’s on the outside is also important because it empowers her on the inside.

In this, our latest Hispanic 411 webinar, I was joined by Amanda Hirsch, Vice President at Vital Findings, the research firm that helped us conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis of beauty consumers. Our research, and this webinar, explored the attitudes and behaviors of Latinas when purchasing across key beauty categories like cosmetics, hair care, and skin care. In addition, we garnered and shared insights on how marketers can build relationships with Latinas to drive future growth. Here’s more of what we uncovered about this beauty-obsessed consumer:

Vital Findings presents at The Market Research Event 2012

11 December 2012 |  PrintEmail

Vital Findings presented at The Market Research Event 2012 along with Logitech, using insights workshops to turn research into action.

According to blogger INSIGHTSGAL:

"Next up was a session co-presented by Katy Mogul of Logitech and Jason Kramer of VitalFindings: "Bringing Research to Life Through Collaborative, Engaging, And Inspiring Work Sessions." As you can tell from the title, this session focused on utilizing workshops to really bring the research to life for your internal clients: marketing, engineering/R&D, senior executives, and so on. Kramer highlighted that workshops can unlock that highest level of learning: read, analyze, SYNTHESIZE. The session focused on using workshops during different phases of the project lifecycle: before research begins, between research phases, and after research is complete. Mogul then shared several case studies of how Logitech used workshops for product ideation and engaging R&D.

Key takeaway: Workshops can be utilized throughout the research process to engage your internal clients and go 'beyond the PowerPoint.'

Genius moves by the presenters? Bringing the persona boards and staging them throughout the room, and providing a laminated deck of workshop cards with instructions as to how to run each type of workshop they discussed."

Consumer panels were the highlights of this year’s PEVE conference, moderated by Vital Findings' Jason Kramer. Because the panels have been such an important part of the annual conference, they have moved to beginning of each day to provoke discussion of all the sessions. There were two consumer panels this year, both of which tackled the issues of UltraViolet but approached home entertainment from slightly different perspectives. Day one’s panel was about how people engage with entertainment both in and out of the home, and how technology developments are impacting how consumers consume content. Day two's panel examined people’s view of the value of different types of home entertainment, and how much they are prepared to pay for various options.
